“My name is Dianne Alcott. I've always loved art but didn't start painting until after I retired. It became an important part of my life allowing me to express my creativity and to meet other creative people. Each painting is important to me with each subject chosen for sentimental reasons. For this show I've submitted "The First Robin of Spring" and "Poet's Cove on Pender Island". The first Robin I see each spring is such a gift and a promise that winter is nearly over. Poet's Cove is one of my absolutely favourite places and one I hope to return to.”
