ARTIST SUBMISSIONS OPEN NOW UNTIL NOVEMBER 2, 2024
For the past 19 years, in conjunction with our much-loved annual Soup Bowls event, the Penticton Art Gallery has transformed its two front gallery spaces into a vibrant platform where artists of all ages and career stages can share their work with the public through our annual exhibition and sale. This cherished event has grown steadily in prominence, attracting artisans, crafters, and visual artists from across British Columbia and beyond. Each year, what sets this exhibition apart is the remarkable range and diversity of artwork on display—spanning from seasoned professionals to the debut creations of emerging talents.
Beyond offering a showcase for artists, this exhibition provides the community with a unique opportunity to purchase original works of art at various price points. Whether you’re searching for a heartfelt gift, a special piece for a loved one, or that perfect addition to your collection, this exhibition truly has something for everyone.
Every year brings a rare chance to discover an incredible array of artists whose works will not only enrich the spaces they inhabit but also touch the lives of those fortunate enough to live with them. Whether you’re an emerging or seasoned collector, the art you choose becomes an integral part of your personal narrative, adding depth and character to your home or office.
Purchasing artwork provides meaningful financial and moral support to artists, allowing them to continue developing their creative practices. It’s a mutually beneficial relationship, where both artist and collector are connected through the work of art itself.
All 2D works will be installed in time for the Penticton Art Gallery's Annual Soup Bowls Event, held on Wednesday, November 13th, and Thursday, November 14th. The official opening reception will take place on November 23rd as part of the Annual Winter Art Walk. Works will be on display until January 18th. ◆
This is the perfect exhibition for you to score some fabulous local art for your collection.
