WRITTEN BY PAUL CRAWFORD

After several years of modified events, we're excited to once again welcome the community back into the gallery for our largest and most significant annual fundraising event: our annual fundraising auction, scheduled to take place in the main gallery on Saturday, June 22nd, 2024.

To build anticipation for our auction gala, we'll be showcasing an incredible curated collection of artworks, unique items, and experiential packages in an exhibition as part of our Auction Preview. You can view and start bidding on this specially curated collection of treasures in person at the gallery from May 17th to June 21st, 2024.

In the event you are unable to attend the preview exhibition or our gala event on Saturday, June 22nd, have no fear. You can still explore this year's auction and bid online until 9:00 pm on Friday, June 21st, by visiting the following link: www.32auctions.com/PAG2024

All the exact and absentee bids will be carried over to the live event on Saturday, June 22nd.

This exhibition and preview offer you the opportunity to view the art, objects, and packages that will be up for offer as part of this year’s annual fundraising auction. All the proceeds from this event will go towards our education and outreach programs, which support the Penticton Art Gallery’s mandate to exhibit, interpret, preserve, and promote our collective artistic and cultural heritage as expressed through the visual arts. These funds are vital for ensuring that we can continue to create, develop, and offer engaging, affordable, and accessible programming in the visual arts for the benefit of children, adults, and our entire community.

Thank you for your consideration and continued support. I would like to invite you to join us in embracing the transformative power of art by supporting this important event, either in person by attending our annual fundraising auction, or by bidding online. Your support will greatly impact the Penticton Art Gallery’s ability to continue providing meaningful experiences in the visual arts as one of the leading cultural institutions in the Okanagan.
