Our annual Under $500 Exhibition & Sale is back for it’s 17th iteration! Featuring over 170 local and regional artists who have submitted an impressive collection of artworks featuring a wide range of styles and mediums all of which are priced under $500 — there’s something for everyone! The works can be viewed in person at the Penticton Art Gallery starting November 10th and will once again be featured on our website.

Please join on Saturday November 19th from 11:00 – 4:00 PM for a special reception as we celebrate Penticton’s Fall Art Walk, offering a special one day 20% discount to new and existing members on all items offered in our Under $500 exhibition and Giftshop!

For the past 17 years we have been pleased to be able offer local and regional artists the opportunity to submit their work into our annual Christmas Exhibition and Sale, providing the public, collectors, and art lovers with the unique opportunity to discover and acquire affordable original works of art for themselves or as a gift for someone special. The artists represented range from the emerging to the well-established and everything in between.

There is an incredible assortment of quality Canadian handmade goods to choose from, including fashion pieces, stunning jewelery, home décor, fine art, sculptures, natural body care, cards, small paintings, prints, ceramics, and so much more. Shoppers of all ages are sure to be delighted as they discover truly one-of-a-kind items, making this the can’t-miss shopping event of the season.

The fall art walk is once again curated and managed by the Penticton Arts Council, featuring 21 venues, offering up an eclectic mix of art galleries, studios, and breweries. This event is the third in a new annual series of community wide art walks that started with the Lake-to-Lake art walk in the spring, as part of Ignite the Arts Festival.

Art Walk maps are available at Lier House and venues throughout the city including the Penticton Art Gallery. The map is sponsored by the Downtown Penticton Business Improvement Association and the Penticton Arts Council and is in partnership with the Penticton Art Gallery, Visit Penticton, local galleries, and businesses. ♦

On Saturday November 19th please consider staying in town to celebrate the City of Penticton’s Light Up to be held at Penticton’s new outdoor rink next to Gyro Park featuring a spectacular tree, 2,600 feet of lightning and new rooftop decorations on City Hall, fire pits, live music, and lots of fun activities for the entire family. The event, organized by the Downtown Penticton Business Improvement Association, runs from 5 to 7 p.m.
