What Words Cannot Say
Lecture by Obi Oniah

For the twelfth consecutive year, we are offering What Words Cannot Say, an exhibition of art created by persons wanting to express their emotional state, as well as persons who have mental illnesses. We know that both groups benefit from using visual arts to express their emotions. Each year at this time the South Okanagan Similkameen Mental Wellness Society times this exhibition to coincide with Mental Illness Awareness Week (October 6-12, 2019).

Obi Oniah is a family support worker with the Mental Wellness Centre in Penticton, and a strong advocate and facilitator of mental health services. He is on a mission to create better awareness and early intervention to support people afflicted by poor mental health in our community.
