Current Call for Artists
January 2017 - CALL FOR SPONSORS
An invitation to be a part of a historic and ground-breaking exhibition.
In anticipation of the Government of Canada’s promised introduction of federal legislation to legalize marijuana, the Penticton Art Gallery is hosting a ground-breaking exhibition, #grassland, exploring the politics, culture, history, art and economic impact of cannabis on our society. As far as we can tell this will be the first exhibition of its kind to be held in a public gallery in Canada and is already attracting great deal of public interest. The exhibition will open at the Penticton Art Gallery on Friday March 17th and continue through Sunday May 14th, 2017 and will include a wide range of public programming throughout its run.
I am reaching out to you to seek your participation and support through the purchase of one or more 3” x 6” advertising spaces that will feature your logo and website. The purpose of this is twofold; first to raise funds to pay for the exhibition and its programming, second and most important is that your participation will collectively reinforce the scope and the economic impact the legalization of marijuana will have on our society. We are committing an entire wall of the gallery to this project and will be treating it as an installation that will become a focal point of the exhibition. The exhibition is already attracting interest from artists across the globe. We will also be producing an online catalogue and dedicated webpage for this exhibition, which will remain long after the installation has come down. All the sponsor’s logos along with hyperlinks to their websites will remain after the exhibition is competed as an important record and document of this historic event.
We hope to have a virtual version of this installation ready well in advance of this exhibition and the sooner you are able to commit the better placed your logo will be on the wall. You are invited to purchase as many of the 3” x 6” spaces as you would like to promote your logo and website at a cost of $100 per space. Payment can be made in person at the Penticton Art Gallery, by electronic transfer or by phone. You will be notified once the virtual webpage is up and you will be invited to attend our opening party on Friday March 24th. Please email all graphics and any additional information to: email@example.com
Thank you for your time and consideration and I hope we are able to include your unique brand as part of this historic and important exhibition. If you have any questions or ideas for additional ways you might be interested in participating in this exhibition please contact me at the gallery. Thank you in advance for or your time, consideration and feedback.

The Penticton Art Gallery will cover all the costs of return shipping, insurance and framing. In conjunction with the physical exhibition we are also hoping to do an online catalogue to serve as a record of this historic exhibition.
