'This painting March 1986, came from the impulse to find truth & honesty within. Facing my worst fears was the recommended path. It took 30 days, waking every morning to this 6' x 6' opening in my wall. Always leaving some memory of each days work. It is a collage that searches for integration.

Swirling around the residue of Hitler's fascism, is first the sacrificial lamb. Innocent & beautiful in its unfolding, its attempts at pleasing others for recognition & encouragement lead to destruction. It cuts its own throat. Up from base chakra chi fountains a new form. Yet the whole painting is a large seated ass, a magus, smiling turquoise (robin's egg). This seated animal has come to rest finally able to hold the pain at ease. To the left in the midst of purgatory is hope. The womb of rebirth to step through into deep spaciousness.'
