Creative Journaling: The Artist’s Notebook

With local artist Carla O’Bee

During this 5 part series students will be introduced to a variety of media and techniques they can use to create their very own artist journals, while learning about the history and importance of the artist journal as a tool for both artistic development and art therapy. Students will draw, write, paint, collage, and use found objects to explore and express their own unique voice. We will create secret spots for treasures, design custom stickers, and use a variety of materials including flowers, spray paint, stamps, ink, charcoal, stencils, and more! Healthy snacks included. All students will get to keep their very own Moleskine leather-bound journal and two calligraphy pens.
