Expressive Mark Making with Ink Session

A unique new program at PAG, ArtRx is inspired by the Five Ways to Wellbeing and designed to support personal wellness through creativity and connection with nature.

In this workshop, we invite you to slow down and experience mindfulness through creative outdoor activities. Enjoy the calming practice of Forest Bathing and engage in Nature Sketching and Journaling—art-making in nature that fosters resilience, wellness, and self-care.

You'll also explore simple, mindful art techniques that can be easily integrated into your everyday life.
All sessions are led by a certified Forest Bathing and Creative Wellness guide.

All sessions will take place entirely outdoors, locations rotating according to the activities and weather. Our central meeting points include the Japanese Garden, Mountain Springs Nature Retreat and Penticton Art Gallery.

Discover the power of looking deeply. Through thoughtful critique and collaborative discussion, you'll explore how conversation about artwork can lead to deeper understanding, personal reflection, and improvement in your own creative practice.

Grounded in Visual Thinking Strategies (VTS) and inspired by the progressive educational ideals of John Dewey, this learner-centered approach encourages critical and creative thinking while helping you form meaningful connections with the world of art. Using a guided facilitation method, we'll build inclusive, supportive group dialogue that welcomes all perspectives.

This one-day monthly workshop is for the whole family with young children.

An open-ended studio concept, ages 3+, materials are provided. No experience is necessary.

All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Dive into a week of fun! Learn about artists like Hokusai, Monet, and other artists inspired by the sea.

This art-based camp features a different theme each week, with related art projects and art history.  Camps run from 9am - 3pm and are designed for kids ages 6 - 12. Kids must be 6 years old at the start of camp.
